What steps are BCF members taking to reduce the impact of their activities on the environment?

Although it has not always been under a specific ‘sustainability umbrella’, BCF members have been working on improving the environmental impact of their activities and their products for decades already. Examples of steps taken so far include significant reduction of Volatile Organic Compound (VOCs) emissions in the coatings and printing inks sectors, a decrease in greenhouse gases being released to the atmosphere across the coatings industry, and reduction of waste to landfill by development of alternatives, such as recycling, and energy recovery from waste.
