Without doubt, the REACH regulation which came into force June 1st 2007 will have a major impact on the manufacturers and users of chemicals and preparations.
The BCF launched its OutREACH program in October 2006. Its aims are firstly to serve the needs of its members and secondly to link with upstream and downstream players whose actions and decisions will define the availability of key materials across the supply chain.
Supply Chain integrity and the securing of key materials is set to be a key risk component of Business Continuity.
The work of the BCF has already been recognised for its "across the supply chain" emphasis (7th March & 21st June 2007 seminars) and stakeholders including UK government offices endorse its work.
BCF's latest UK seminar was held June 21st at the Holiday Inn, Rugby For the programme contents click here.
Among many other benefits, membership of the BCF includes a helpdesk for REACH, seminars and workshops, group forums and access to concise management documents which provide recommendations for action and therefore speed up decision making.
