Laboratories analysing metals in inks

21st February 2011

A number of consumer goods manufacturers are voluntarily restricting or banning the presence of certain metals in their product packaging. Printers and convertors may require analytical reassurances on the compostion of the inks they use, over an above the written statements received from their suppliers and/or to analyse the final packaging.

This page of the website lists independent analytical laboratories which are able to carry out analysis of printing inks, coatings and similar products in respect of their metal content.

INCLUSION OF ANY COMPANY OR ORGANISATION SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED, IMPLICITLY OR EXPLICITLY, AS ENDORSEMENT OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE BCF.
