Household decorative waste paints and varnishes can be re-used or recycled. Some Local Amenity sites accept waste paints. These can be found at

and www.recycle-more.co.uk. The recycle-more site will on entering your postcode give local waste recycling centres, along with a list of types of waste accepted, some of which will list 'paint'.
Depending on the condition of the material and its container, it may be re-used by community groups through the Community RePaint scheme www.communityrepaint.org.uk and RePaint Scotland www.repaintscotland.com
