GUIDANCE and SELF - ASSESSMENT

BCF, through its task force and technical panels, has prepared advice on how to implement the Codes. This Guidance is available for each activity covered by the Codes of Management Practice.

Each Code and its associated Guidance is supported by SELF-ASSESSMENT QUESTIONNAIRES; these enable sites and companies to carry out regular self--evaluation of their systems and performance. Each company will advance at its own pace. No formal verification is currently envisaged, but the introduction of good practices and systems means that companies will be well placed to apply for certification to external standards if they so wish.
