Press Release

BCF AND OCCA FORM ALLIANCE AGREEMENT

The British Coatings Federation (BCF) and the Oil and Colour Chemists' Association (OCCA) have entered into a Collaboration Alliance Agreement. Both organisations provide a wide range of technical training, information and support for the coatings sector. The new alliance has been formed to enhance the service and resources the BCF and the OCCA provide their members. The OCCA and BCF are, respectively, the leading membership organisation and trade association within the UK coatings sector. The OCCA represents the interests of individual scientists and engineers in the coatings industry and the BCF, the broad interests of coatings companies in the UK.  Chris Pacey-Day, General Secretary at the OCCA commented: "The alliance with the BCF will be a statement to the sector that two key stakeholders are working together and it will bring significant benefits to both organisations in terms of resource and expertise."

Tony  Mash, CEO of the BCF concluded: "In these difficult economic times, we believe that this  lliance will bring a more cost effective and complete range of services to members. This will help achieve our objective to progress the stature and value of the coatings industry in the UK."
